Lightening in a Bottle
What was a kid, I heard the phrase lightning in a bottle. I was fascinated by this concept and wanted to see if it was really possible to capture lightning in a bottle. I found an old soda bottle and a thin metal rod. I remember poking a hole in the top of the bottlecap, sticking the metal rod through and taping it down with black electrical tape. The only thing I had to do after that was wait. I checked the news every day for the weather. Many months went by. Although there were rainy days there were not so many thunderstorms. When the thunderstorm finally came, I hurried to my room to get my bottle. I set it in the yard and waited for the lightning to fall. It never did. That's why I was especially happy to be able to take this photo.
