Jump

I took today's picture a couple summers ago. The guy flying off the roof is Japanese reggae singer Asa Mal. Whenever I look at this image, I think of the phrase “leap of faith”. Sometimes that's what it takes to get ahead in life. We don't always know what's in front of us. Sometimes we have to jump anyway and hope for something soft to land on. I once saw a meme on the Internet that said something like 99% of all adults are just winging it. That’s the great secret our parents never told us. They were making life up as they went along, just like we are doing right now. Sometimes, the only way to forward is to take that leap.
